Current Fixation: Rein

My ate and her family arrived from NZ last week. And Riel has been enjoying the company of his cousins for some days now. He's actually particularly been obsessed with Rein, my ate's 2nd daugter.

He would always want to play with her. Then if she gets tired and doesn't want to play anymore, he cries with all heartfelt grief.

He also requested to sleep with her last Thursday. Yup, he left me sleeping alone in the room to be with her. Mai, ate's eldest, reported that she saw Riel clinging to Rein while they're sleeping.

And just yesterday, Riel was crying so hard since they were going to spend two nights at my ate's sister-in-law. They had to sneak out because Riel wanted to come with them.

Waking up this morning, Riel asked why Rein hasn't returned yet. We just told him that they'll be coming back by tomorrow.

Poor Riel! He really needs a playmate.

Moved!

We have finally finished moving our stuff from our Makati apartment to the new house in Greenwoods. I felt somehow sentimental leaving the apartment. I did stay there for about a year and a half and it felt sad leaving all the memories behind. A lot of good times were spent on that house which I would really treasure.

After moving all our things to the new house, I realize how scant my furnitures are and how big the house is. Haha, would need lots of money to fill in the house. Donations are accepted. =D

We don't actually live in the house yet since the light switches and outlets are not yet in place. The developer did say they'd be able to finish it by this week. And that would just be in time as my ate will be visiting us with her family fresh from NZ next week.

Morning Slices

Riel asked me to peel a mango for him this morning. While doing it, I commented that I cut my finger the last time I did this for him. He then covered his eyes and said "I can't look!". When I finally finished, he said "That was close." He gobbled up the mango and asked me to slice an apple after. I stated matter-of-factly that it was an apple I sliced the last time I got hurt. He said sorry again and I said it's not his fault. Riel is so sweet and cute. =)

Back to Pasig

It's my first day of going home from work back to my parents' house in Pasig. And I observed two things:

1. Malayo ang Pasig.
2. Mausok sa Pasig.

Haha, I'll just have to get used to it again since I'll be moving in this area for good.

Shooting Star

Do shooting stars move slowly in the sky? I did saw something tonight that would seem to be too far off and too small to qualify for an aircraft. So wish was what I did... the same first wish I talked about earlier this afternoon when I discussed what 3 wishes I have if it can be granted. And I earnestly hope it would come true.

Changes

Daiz is obsessive compulsive. But yet she's handling the changes she's lately experiencing pretty well...

She'll be moving to the new house by the end of May. But it seems she won't be coming to the Makati apartment anymore since Riel had to go under tutoring for the rest of the summer so...

She won't be living with her bestfriend/flatmate anymore after staying with her for more than a year. It would be sad but they do need to move on and...

She's also trying to wean from something she's been attached to lately. It may be hard but she thinks she'll be alright.

Riel Says the Darndest Things IX

When school was finally out, Riel was pining for Crystal...

While watching an action-packed film where a guy gets sandwiched by a bus and another van on the misfunctioning stoplight...
Riel: Ouch!

Riel on spouses...
Riel: Mommy, magkakaanak ba si Fiona (our dog)? Babae naman siya diba?
Mommy: Yup, babae pero di sya magkakaanak kasi wala syang asawa.
Riel: E bakit ikaw nagkaanak ng wala kang asawa?
Mommy: *quiet and didn't know how to respond*
Riel: Bakit ka nga walang asawa?
Mommy: Bat gusto mo ba ko magkaasawa?
Riel: Hehe, hindi.
Mommy: Yun pala e, tatanong-tanong ka pa dyan. :p
